If you are familiar with Mesothelioma, you are aware it’s a rare, but aggressive cancer caused by asbestos exposure. A very small number are diagnosed with Peritoneal Mesothelioma. Each year there are approximately 100-400 cases reported in the US.

Researchers in Italy have discovered that the biomarkers in the body may be able to aid in the early detection of mesothelioma cancer. The research has shown that the biomarkers usually form long before the cancer symptoms occur. This could be a break through for people that have been exposed to asbestos.
